I want to highlight exactly how budget cuts affect the people who use youth services.
By putting names and faces to the individuals who work within this sector I hope will encourage others to see the human impact such cuts can cause.
On a personal level I would not be who I am today without these services as I left school and became involved with drugs before youth work helped me turn my life around.
It allows young people to take a lead role in their personal development, socialise, share experiences, build life skills and learn in an informal way.
With Fixers I started a social media campaign where I involved people from all walks of life to explain the reasons youth work matters to them.
I hope that the people responsible for the cuts see that young people are a future we should be supporting.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
I ran my campaign at the Scottish Youth Theatre Building in Glasgow and encouraged people to share what youth work means to them. I received some positive feedback which you can read below alongside images taken on the day.
'I think Daniel has done a great job of highlighting the importance of youth work and showing how many people feel passionately about it with his social media campaign. I am really proud of the level of involvement he got.'
'Young people know best what they need and youth work is so important. Daniel's work to highlight this is fantastic.'
'This is a great idea for a project. Let's hope the right people see it and stop cutting the funds that youth work services so desperately need.'
