On Saturday 16th May 2015, nine hundred people gathered at 15 locations across the UK to help spread Stephen Sutton’s message of kindness by supporting his National Good Gestures Day. They were giving one simple but powerful gift in his memory, a hug.
After a successful first Good Gestures Day in 2013 in Birmingham, where young people got together to dole out hugs, high-fives, handshakes and fist bumps, Stephen’s friends helped him make it a national event last year.
Just days before he died following a three-and-a-half year battle with cancer, Stephen asked Fixers to make it an annual event.
