Campaign: | To educate young people about internet safety |
I want young people to be aware of the potential dangers they can face when using the internet, so they have a better idea of how to stay safe online.
Some post photos and personal information on social media sites without understanding that they could be putting themselves at risk.
My team and I have done some research that shows that many young people would accept friend requests from strangers, even though they believe there are people online who lie about their identity.
We want school pupils to think twice about this and we’re hoping our project will teach them how to avoid using websites in a way that could expose them to harm.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Nicole Randall
Stephanie Wallace
Amber Seddon
Kirsty Jones
Thank you also to Jasmin Berrwick, Macie George, Michelle Curtin and Runa Holt who are outside the 16-25 Fixers age range but have worked with us on this project.
3 Villages Youth Project
Youth worker Jen Lawry is supporting our Fix. She’s been helping us as we work on our ideas during our sessions at the 3 Villages Youth Project.

Our board game has been completed! We hope to take the game into schools and colleges so that young people can think about the way they use the internet. You can see photos of our Fixers board game "Get Connected" below.
