Campaign: | To show people the benefits of peer education |
For a young person, I feel that sometimes there can be too many issues to deal with and not enough outlets to discuss them.
That's why I think more people should know about peer education.
The activity involves young people and trained peer educators, like me, discussing topics such as sex, health, relationships or bullying.
It's young people talking about topics that matter to them with people of similar ages and backgrounds that they can relate too.
During my time volunteering in peer education, I've met so many inspirational people and learned new skills, and my confidence also increased.
I think more people should be aware to the benefits of peer education. Whether it's coming along for a session or inquiring about being a trainer, I want to show how much of a positive influence it can have on people's lives.
