Campaign: | To provide more information about gender identity in schools |
When I was 17, I made the decision to be who I've always felt I was - male.
I was born female but knew on the inside that I was male and so have since had a medical transition.
I don't feel that enough is taught about this topic in schools.
When I was at school I might have felt more comfortable to have come out as trans if there had been support and information available.
With Fixers I want to create a resource that students can read and take away with them to study.
I feel it would make such a huge difference to any young person questioning their gender identity and would educate others on what it means to be transgender.

Thank you to Julie-Ann who appeared in my broadcast to support my campaign and offer information about trans youth.
Thank you to Michelle Jarvis and Alice Sharp, who were interviewed for my TV story and spoke about their experiences of being transgender.
