Campaign: | To educate people about the work young carers do |
I’ve been a young carer for as long as I can remember.
As well as having to look after my older brother, who has autism, my mum’s bad back means she isn’t very mobile any more and relies on me to do jobs around the house.
In many ways I’ve had to grow up pretty quickly and have a very different life to many other teenagers.
With Fixers, my team and I are raising awareness of what it means to be a young carer.
By creating a short film, we hope to help people understand that having responsibilities at home can be hard and often impacts the lives of young people.
