Campaign: | To shed some postive light on the term "addiction" |
I want to tackle the negative connotations associated with the word “addiction”.
Addictions don’t have to involve drugs or alcohol, I think people should also enjoy the fact that you can be addicted to life, love, music, etc.
I want to encourage those with negative addictions to talk about their issues and I want those with positive addictions to embrace their passions.
I hosted the main stage at the Breakin’ Out Festival in Abergavenny and inspired the audience to write down their various addictions on pieces of cloth, before encouraging them to make a pledge to overcome or enjoy whatever they’d chosen to put down.
These individual patches were then sewn together to make a large art piece, bringing positivity to this often negative subject.
