My group of Fixers and I feel that the topic of teenage depression isn’t something that’s discussed openly.
I feel very strongly about the subject because one of my friends had the illness.
I remember she stopped talking to everybody and didn’t really go out at all. It was frustrating for me because there wasn't an awful lot I could do to help.
Thankfully she’s much better now, but the experience really inspired me to do something positive about the issue.
We're working with Fixers to create an art installation showing what it can feel like living with depression.
The aim is to raise more awareness on the topic while also inspiring young people struggling with mental health problems to seek help.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Omagh Youth Centre
We are all members of the youth centre and they supported our Fixers project by allowing our art installation to be housed there.
Feedback from my campaign has been really positive and encouraging. You can read some of these comments below.
'I thought this project was class because it was so creative. It's really eye catching.'
'I think this project is good because it shows everyone is the same.'
'I think it's a great idea because no one should be made to feel left out.'
