Campaign: | To help prevent young suicide |
Suicide is the second biggest cause of death worldwide among 15-19 year olds, and I want to use my Fixers project to encourage young people to seek help if they are feeling vulnerable.
By creating a short film, I hope to show young people who may be feeling alone that there are places they can turn to for help.
Whether it is friends, family, or an outside support group, there are people they can talk to about the problems they may be facing.
I hope my project will also help people spot when someone may be feeling suicidal.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

December 2013
My film was shown to second year Health and Social Care students at City of Bristol College. The screening was followed by a discussion that lasted around an hour.
I received the following feedback from students:
‘I thought the film was really good. It made me more aware of the need to make sure that I take my friends' problems seriously.’
‘Suicide and depression need to be talked about more. Society needs to advertise suicide help.’
‘This is a good film. It looks at suicide which is a topic that isn’t talked about enough. This film raises awareness and will allow others to understand suicide.’
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
