Campaign: | To raise awareness of the dangers of legal highs |
The dangers of legal highs are, in my opinion, overlooked because people think they're safe. But this also means people aren't fully aware of just how harmful they can be.
I've seen my friends experience the negative effects of taking them and it was quite scary to watch.
Because there isn't much information out there around the subject, with the help of Fixers, I'm making a film to show the side effects that they can have.
Hopefully by raising enough awareness, it will encourage young people to make more informed decisions in the future.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Charlie Smith | Jordie Perry |
Jordon Roberts | Kaylee Littleford |
Lauren Sinnett | Luke Jenkins |
Molly Tomkins | Stefan Seymour |
SPACE, Young Person's Substance Use Service

The team at CRI have supported my Fixers project. They’ve provided information and statistics relating to synthetic drugs to help with my research.

August 2014
My campaign was featured in the Evesham Observer. Click on the image below to read the full article.
July 2014
While filming my broadcast piece, I visited The Chantry School in Worcester to show my film to students and ask for their feedback.
They offered the following thoughts:
‘It was a great film that really made me think about the choices we make.’
‘It was very interesting and different to see a film that shows us what happens – instead of just saying no, don’t do it.’
‘It was quite graphic which makes it more realistic.’
November 2013
Our film 'Blazing: Synthetic Highs' was shown at a screening event held at Worcester College of Technology on Wednesday 27th November. It was one of four films being premiered and around fifty people turned up. Click here to read more about the event.
