I absolutely love cooking and have cooked since childhood. But it really gets to me that so many people waste food.
A lot of food can be reused to make a variety of dishes. Not only does this save money, but it can save the environment as less food goes to landfill sites across the UK.
With the help of Fixers, I hope to create a cookbook to encourage young people to use their leftovers to cook simple dishes at minimal cost.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Love Food Hate Waste Love Food Hate Waste is a campaign run by WRAP to raise awareness of the need to reduce food waste and to help us all take action to achieve this. They support my Fixers project. Emma Marsh, Head of Love Food Hate Waste, was interviewed to appear in my broadcast film.
Thanet District Council Thanet District Council are supportive of my Fix. They gave us permission to film at certain locations for my broadcast piece.
