Campaign: | Breaking stereotypes around pole fitness |
There are negative stereotypes around pole dancing, I think many people view it as a 'dirty' thing only done by women.
But this isn't true. I'm part of a pole fitness club and it's actually very good for you and much harder than it looks.
We want to change people's views on the sport and just encourage more people to get a taste of the benefits it brings.
By making a film, not only will we educate people on where it came from but give them an insight into what they can take from it.
Hopefully this will break the stigma attached to pole fitness as well.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
Chantelle Fairbairn
Christopher Hunter
Dale Williams
Kendall Williamson
Lucy McKeich
Lynsey Stevenson
Ryan Harkins
Sheree Morrison
Yves Pollock
Myself and my fellow Fixers are members of the club, who have supported our Fixers project and helped us throughout the campaign.

Since being uploaded, my video has had over 1300 views on Youtube and has had some really great feedback. Below are some comments I have received:
'I thought the video was really great. I hadn't realised that so much went into pole fitness, I hope that this gets promoted as I think it could really be used.'
'I loved the film and I can't wait to try out pole fitness as soon as I can!'
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
