Campaign: | Providing support for young people experiencing rural isolation |
I live outside the Galashiels in the Scottish Borders.
It was great growing up here – it felt like an adventure every day. But being older now, it's been hard to see my friends or go out, purely because it's so far from everywhere else.
That’s why I want to help those living in socially isolated parts of the UK.
It can be very lonely for some people, so with the help of Fixers I want to create something which can provide advice on what there is to do as well as support those who feel they're on their own.
Thank you to Ben Moffat for helping me with this Fix.
Lisa Surgery from Penumbra Youth Project supported my Fixers project by providing an interview for my broadcast story.

June 2013
After my ITV broadcast, I was invited to do an interview on TD1 Community Radio about the issue of rural isolation for teenagers and my Fixers magazine.
After my interview, I was offered to host a regular slot covering youth related topics on the station!
My story was also featured in the Border Telegraph.
