Campaign: | Getting young people into sport |
Since I was ten years old, I've been playing football for a range of local teams in Newport. I've been into sport for a long time and it's an important part of my life as it keeps me fit, keeps me learning new skills, and gets me meeting new people.
But today many young people would rather stay at home and play computer games. This is not good for their fitness, their mind, or for their social life.
So through a poster campaign, my friends and I are encouraging young people to find a sport they love and to follow it. Being active has so many benefits, and we want to educate others about just how beneficial keeping fit is.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:

Thank you for supporting us and our project.
July 2013
We attended the Maindee Festival to promote our campaign and give community members a chance to try a range of sports. We had great feedback and over 100 people visited the stand throughout the event and were keen to get involved.
We were also visited by the Mayor of Newport who was encouraged by our campaign and wanted to be involved in any future promotions or activities.
