When I was 18 years old, I became a father for the first time.
At the time, it was pretty scary. I really did not know who to turn to for parenting help. There was no one there to offer advice, and I felt like I was the only one in my position.
That's when I had the idea to start doing something about this. I began talking to a range of young fathers across London to get everyone networked, so we could share advice, stories, and just relate to one another.
Now as a father of three, I am working with Fixers to produce a website which covers a variety of topics which young fathers may need help with, from parenting skills, to cooking, cleaning, and even support for gaining custody and child support.
I feel the number of support groups for young fathers are limited. Through this site I hope to create a young father network, so single dads can socialise and learn new skills.
*NOTE: Some Fixers exceed the age range of 16 to 25 during the course of their project
