I want to tackle the division I feel exists between young people with disabilities and those without.
Some of my best friends at school had learning difficulties and it was hard to openly talk to them because they were in different groups and classes.
It is upsetting, because they are like any other friends. We did stuff after school and we had a laugh.
I want to get rid of the separation that exists and by working with Fixers, I want to show we’re united and we’re all mixed in different ways. But we should be able to mix a lot more openly.
The idea is to get people talking.
I think it will be good to break down barriers in society and allow people to interact more with each other.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:

Stranraer Academy, the secondary school I attend, support our Fixers campaign and have agreed to use the resource as part of their PSE lessons.
A special thanks to Irene Rodgers, Youth Issues Unit Manager at Dumfries & Galloway Council, and the Oasis Youth Centre for their support.
Paralympic archer, Kate Murray, also supports our campaign. Here's what she has to say:
‘I think Caitlin and her group Fixers project to include disabled young people in general schools is brilliant and good on them for doing it.
'We’ve got to get out there and show them it’s not just down to able-bodied people to do it all, it has to be both sides.’
'What a great idea!'
'This is definitely needed, there is still segregation going on in schools, which they are doing with good intentions but it makes it harder for people to integrate with each other when they leave school. I think the buddy system is a great idea.'
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
