Campaign: | To stop prejudice against travellers |
I am just like every normal teenager - I enjoy going out, meeting friends, and doing fun things.
But I live in a double-decker bus.
I am a traveller, and my family and friends are travellers too. We are discriminated against every day, just because of the way we live and who we are.
Constantly, people stigmatise us and completely misinterpret what we do and who we are. This sometimes forms itself in bullying, and I wanted to stop this.
With the help of Fixers, I created short film which follows my typical day, so people can see that I am normal, I just live in a different way.
I won't lie – there probably are bad travellers out there, but there are also bad people who live in houses.
No matter what your race, gender, sex or size, no one should be stereotyped. It's never nice to be the person on the receiving end.
I'd like to thank Abby Pope for helping me with this Fix.
