I am a keen cyclist and cycle everywhere. But, having moved from Iraq to London, I found cycling in London an entirely different experience to anything I had done.
It is not unsafe generally, but cycling around the city needs great awareness from the cyclist, and other drivers.
A close friend of mine was hit and killed by a truck when out cycling. It really made me realise how dangerous the roads can be.
With the help of Fixers, I journeyed around London holding workshops to educate everyone on how to be aware of cyclists, and educated cyclists on how to treat the roads.
