Campaign: | Don't Get Caught in The Web |
My aim is to confront cyber bullying and inform people about ways to stay safe on the internet.
With social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter rising in popularity amongst young people, I want to offer advice on how to defend against hackers.
This abuse has changed the lives of millions of children worldwide. Ever since we got the internet, the traditional playground bullies have been replaced with the new, more emotionally threatening cyber bully.
However, as well as victimisation through social networks, many people are unaware of how easy it can be for hackers to get hold of your private information if you're not taking the proper precautions.
I want to educate people about keeping their passwords secure and how to avoid scams, so that they don’t have to face the unfortunate consequences.
The following Fixers are helping me with my project:
Alex Burke
Karlie Webber
Victoria McGuinness
Dr Kate Anthony, Online Therapy Institute
