Campaign: | To beat cancer with creativity |
In 2009, my granddad died unexpectedly from cancer. My family only knew he had the disease for three weeks.
It shocked us and we all suffered because of it, so I decided to do something about the effects that experiencing cancer – both directly and indirectly – can have.
I am a budding artist, and my granddad loved my artwork ever since I started drawing at around seven-years-old.
With this skill, I decided to work with Fixers to create a book which would showcase my portraits and tell the stories of cancer sufferers from around the world, all to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
With the help of Fixers, I created a book called ‘Creative Against Cancer’ which holds a great collection of stories from people affected by the condition.
The book was sold nationally and raised hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research UK.
