Because of large supermarkets, a lot of food – particularly meat – is sold cheaply and without any real explanation of the source of the food.
The problem here is that people often overlook the farmer, and therefore they overlook how they could support local businesses.
My brother, Thomas, and a group of farming friends from our rural community got together to raise awareness of exactly where supermarket food comes from.
Through an animated film, we show how farmers produce ends up on your plate.
The problem is that a lot of people go into a supermarket and simply buy the food they see without considering where that food has come from or how they could source that food locally and support the local farming trade.
My Fix was not about putting people off one method or another, but about making it clear about the processes of production involved in getting food from the farming fields onto the dinner plate.
