Campaign: | To tell LGBT+ teens that coming out doesn't have to be a big deal |
I didn’t come out to my family until I was 15.
I knew I wasn’t straight for quite a long time before that, but I was terrified they would react badly if I told them.
When I finally did come out, I did it through a Facebook post.
When my family read it, they were all very supportive and my mum told me she was proud of me.
I had wasted so much time and energy worrying about it needlessly.
So I’ve made a film with Fixers to help other young people who may be struggling to come out.
I want them to know that it doesn’t have to be that big a deal.
The following people helped me with my Fix:
Leanne Hardy
Helen Davies
Nathan Preston-Lehore
Hannah Baker
Ethan Mcinally
Shannon Rawlings
Becky Thorn
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
Sam Womack
