Campaign: To encourage UK teens to be grateful for what they've got

I was born in Eritrea and lived in the north east African country until I was 14.

My family was very loving but I made the difficult decision to leave in secret, in a bid for a better life.

The country has a very poor human rights record and there is compulsory military service.

A number of my friends were made to join the Army but were then never heard of again.

When I arrived in the UK in May 2015, I was taken in by a foster family and I have been studying hard ever since to make a better life for myself.

I find it frustrating when I hear young people in this country complaining that they are stressed.

So I made a film with Fixers to help them realise just how lucky they are.

Georgia Brown helped me with my project.

My project was supported by East Kent College.
