Campaign: | To encourage people to accept their appearance, especially any scars or marks they may have on their skin |
I developed mental health problems in my early teens. It led me into self-harming: I used to cut the front of my legs.
I used to be really self-conscious about my scars but one day I decided they are part of me and I won’t be bothered by people looking at them.
With Fixers I’ve devised a campaign to get people of all ages to accept their appearance, especially any scars or marks they may have on their skin.
It’s a filter with the text “Flaunt Your Flaws” to put on social media such as Snapchat or Instagram. The idea is to encourage people to host a picture of something they’re insecure about but which they shouldn’t be insecure about, and share it with the world.
I would like to thank the following people for helping me with my fix:
Amy Lewis
Ollie Ross
Keli Kucyj
