I was diagnosed with Autism at 13, but didn't find out until I heard a receptionist refer to me as the 'autistic girl'.
I used to struggle a lot with my speech because of it, and was made fun of by people at school.
My teachers did little to understand me or my condition, treating all people with Autism as the same and segregating us.
I want my project to raise awareness of the condition, and show that there is a spectrum, to promote undertsanding of it.
