Campaign: | To encourage people to be unique. |
Me and my friends think body image has become a big problem among young people.
We think social media in particular can make people feel worthless because it’s always showing people with perfect figures so they try to live up to something which isn’t real.
Fixers has helped us make a film in which negative labels like 'fat, worthless ugly, hopeless' are replaced with positive ones such as 'outgoing, lovely, kind, unique.'
The idea is to be positive. To give young people a boost. They should be made to feel good about themselves, not bad.
I would like to thank Sam Donnelly and Rosa Cameron for supporting me with my fix.
This project was supported by The Tampon Tax Fund distributed by The Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
A special thanks to Pauline Wilson at YOMO for supporting me with this project.
