Campaign: | To get better provisions for young people with disabilities |
I use a wheelchair due to my cerebral palsy.
I used to be able to go to a local youth club, which I could get to independently, but then it closed down and moved.
So now college is the only time I can see my friends. After college I don’t do anything independently.
I can’t do something on the spur of the moment. So if friends ask me to do something, before I go, I have to check it is accessible and if it’s not I can’t do it.
If you are in a wheelchair there is a lack of activities available to you. At the weekend I just go to family homes. I find that I live in my bedroom.
My Fixers project is to change the world to make it better for people with disabilities.
I would like to thank Callum Dynnett, Alex ABC Jones and Jade Gadd for helping me with this Fix.
I would like to thank Richard Taylor from the charity, Integrating Children for supporting my Fix.
