Campaign: | To show how poetry can help young people to express themselves |
Young people face so many difficult issues in their lives today that it can be overwhelming.
Having a means to express how you’re feeling can be a massive help in processing thoughts and moving forward.
For me, poetry helped to channel my anger and frustrations at the most difficult times of my life and I'm grateful that my need to express led me to performing.
Young people from the most challenging of backgrounds can benefit from getting involved in poetry and the arts, and I'm passionate about supporting them to see that.
The following Fixers helped me with this project:
Theresa Lola
Dylema Amadi
Caleb Femi
Make My Day Better is the charity arm of DialAFlight and the Lotus Group and supports a variety of projects around the world. Their guiding principle is that the majority of their funding must directly benefit people.
They are backing my campaign and working in partnership with Fixers to give others, like me, the chance to make a difference.
