Campaign: | To open up conversations about mental health issues |
I have a close friend who has depression, anxiety and ADHD and a family member with depression.
Each of them deals with things differently, and it’s been important for me to know if they want to talk or whether they need some space.
I wanted to create a wristband which people directly affected by mental illness can wear, to show their friends and family if they need to talk or not.
The wristbands have a traffic light system – the green side shows someone is ready to talk, yellow shows that they need a bit more time and red means that they’re not ready yet and need some time alone.
I hope the wristbands will make it easier for friends to stick around and provide support without overstepping the mark.
