I was 12 when I started smoking cannabis.
I started smoking it with friends at weekends, then my uncle died and I couldn’t cope.
I couldn’t seem to talk to anyone so I smoked to make myself happy.
As I got older my depression got worse, so I smoked more.
It got to the point where I was smoking 15 joints a day and feeling too paranoid and anxious to leave the house.
I ended up stealing my mum’s money to fund my habit, and doing other things I’m not proud of.
The police got involved when I was 15 and that was my wake-up call.
They got me help from a doctor and I’m glad I stopped. I’m a lot happier now.
I made the film with Fixers to spread the message about the harm drugs do, and tell people not to use them as a coping mechanism.
The following people supported me with this Fix:
Joe McNamee from the Northern Health and Social Care Trust
Greg Walker from the Youth Justice Agency
Mary-Anne White and Lucy Wills
