I was diagnosed with a rare bone condition at the age of seven, which has meant that I’m in a wheelchair full time.
I didn’t get to take part in PE lessons or sports days at school and I never thought I’d ever be able to play sport again.
But when I was 12, I discovered wheelchair basketball by chance - it changed my life.
I now play at a high level, for Great Britain under 23s and the Carlisle Panthers.
But most important has been the social aspect of it - the getting out and having fun with a team.
I think people who are disabled can often write themselves off from sport, or not realise the opportunities that are out there.
I want to change that – and show what a difference it can make to your life when you get involved in sport.
