Campaign: | To encourage young people to walk away from crime and achieve their potential |
As far back as I can remember, crime has impacted on my life.
When I was ten, my brother was convicted of murder.
Later, my dad, mum and sister would all go to jail too.
When I was 13, I was introduced to a gang in South East London through friends at school.
I didn't become a member, but bad things came my way; I found myself in the firing line between rival gangs.
When I became a father at the age of 19, I realised that I didn't want that life for my children.
I decided to express myself through music and made a song showing the negative impact crime has had on my life.
The song features in my Fixers film because I want young people to see that there is a better life for you, you’ve just got to find it.
