In my first year at college I became depressed. It came from nowhere and I didn’t know what to do.
At first I thought it was normal to be having the mood swings, but when my sleeping pattern started changing and I secluded myself from my friends I realised there was more to it.
I felt empty and emotionally exhausted and I didn't really care about anything.
It was only when I finally sought help and spoke with a doctor and counsellor that I got the help I needed.
I now want to show others how they can reach out for help, to overcome their own depression, and help people spot the symptoms of the condition.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
