Campaign: To provide support to young pregnant girls, through encouragement, hints and tips.

My team and I work as Peer Ambassadors into Sexual Health (PASH) at the Terence Higgins Trust.

We believe that although there is a lot of information available that aims to prevent teenage pregnancy, there is very little support for girls who become pregnant.

We wanted to fill that gap and provide a resource that offers support and encouragement to teenagers who have a positive result in a pregnancy test.

Fixers helped us produce a booklet targeted towards young expectant parents; part journal, part advice, and part scrapbook.

We hope that young mums-to-be will find the journal useful for recording their pregnancy’s progress and empower them through encouraging positive quotes, practical advice and helpful tips.

Thanks to Ebony Horton and Sophie Rowley-Lawrence for their input on this project.

We are grateful to Shardia Briscoe-Palmer, Terrence Higgins Trust, who helped coordinate all Fixers meetings and the launch event.

This project is supported by the Youth Social Action Fund (YSAF).

Youth Social Action Fund

Our Fixers project was supported by the Cabinet Office’s Youth Social Action Fund.

As part of the Cabinet Office initiative ‘Step Up to Serve’, which is spearheaded by HRH the Prince of Wales, Fixers is working in partnership with the Youth Social Action Fund (YSAF) to offer the Fixer experience specifically to young people aged between 16 and 20 in Birmingham and parts of Kent.
