Campaign: | To raise awareness of alopecia and encourage people to be open about it |
I have alopecia. I was 16 when my hair began to fall out and I now wear a wig.
When I lost my hair, I felt distraught.
It had a negative impact on my emotional wellbeing and after a group of boys pulled my wig off and started laughing at me in public, I struggled to leave the house for weeks.
But then I realised that’s the wrong way to go about it and recently I’ve felt more confident.
With Fixers, I want to raise awareness of alopecia and encourage people to be more open about it.
I hope this will help others with the condition.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Emily Gilham | Grace Barton |
Jamie Lynn Hartnell | Brad Tolladay |
Emily Turner | Amber St Pierre |
Callum Lucas | Ben Wade |
Kirsty Turner | Brooke Leigh McDonald |
