Campaign: | To end the stigma surrounding eating disorders |
I battled with anorexia between the ages of 11 and 17.
Some people assume that having an eating disorder means you’re vain and obsessed with your image, but they are serious mental health conditions that can completely take over your life.
Now in recovery, I want to help others who may be going through what I went through, because early intervention is crucial.
With Fixers, I want to improve people’s understanding of eating disorders so that others feel able to speak out and get the support they need.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Charlotte Holloway | Marvellous Zibanayi |
Faizan Farooq | Megan Blackmore-Johnson |
Faramah Tagan | Melissa Wright |
Harmony Rees | Michelle Dublin |
Harris Islam | Olivia Booth |
Lachel Brown-Hamilton | Tehmani Martin |
Lucinder Webster | Zaheb Khan |
Newbridge House Eating Disorders Clinic
Rachel Matthews from the clinic supports my Fixers project. She agreed to be interviewed to appear in my broadcast piece.
