Campaign: | To raise awareness of hypermobility syndrome |
I have hypermobility syndrome, which quite simply means being too flexible and double-jointed. The ligaments around my joints are too loose so they all have a larger range of movement than they should do. It can cause me injuries such as sprained wrists and ankles.
I wasn’t diagnosed until last year, about six years after I first experienced pain as a result of the condition.
It’s my view that many people don’t know enough about hypermobility syndrome and the challenges that those living with it can face every day.
With Fixers, I want to create a resource to help improve people’s understanding of the condition.
I hope that by doing this I can help people receive a diagnosis sooner, so they can get the support they need.
