Campaign: | To help young people steer clear of drugs and legal highs |
My team and I have seen so many lives devastated by drugs.
We’ve all managed to steer clear of such things, but know how easy it can be for others to be persuaded to go down that route.
With Fixers, we’ve helped create a short film, encouraging our peers to be mindful of drug dealers and showing them that it’s okay to say "no".
Hopefully our campaign will inspire people to report these individuals, helping to make our communities safer for everyone.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Cathy Curran | John Ward |
Courtney McCrissican | Joseph Magee |
Daniel Walker | Michaela Burke |
David Goods | Rebecca Smyth |
John Moore | William Mulhall |
Francene Kearney and Gerard Forward from Street Safe, a community safety initiative, support our Fix. They helped to facilitate aspects of the project and Gerard was also featured in our Fixers film.
April 2015
We held a screening of our Fixers film at a local college on 3rd March. We received the following feedback from students:
‘Appearances can be deceiving. Bad people don’t wear signs that point this out so it’s good to be reminded about being careful.’
‘The understated way in which the wolf in sheep’s clothing idiom was put across made the film really effective.’
‘Drug dealers go out of their way to not look like drug dealers. If you know one, tell someone!’
‘The film was very smart.’
