Campaign: | To show the benefits of learning martial arts |
In the past, I’ve spent time in hospital for a mental health condition.
I knew I needed to change my life and that’s when I found martial arts.
Learning the discipline has given me a new focus. I’m much more centred and peaceful within myself.
With Fixers, I want to show how martial arts can help people physically and emotionally.
Hopefully others going through similar struggles will take inspiration from my story and see the power of learning something new.
Safeer Ullah has helped me with this Fix.
David Castan and Joe Best are martial arts instructors. They’ve supported my project by appearing in my broadcast item.
Dr Elliot Cohen, Leeds Beckett University
Dr Elliot Cohen, Chartered Psychologist at Leeds Beckett University and black belt martial arts instructor, supports my project. He was interviewed to appear in my television piece.
Graham Lord
My stepdad Graham supports my Fix. He agreed to be interviewed to appear in my broadcast item.
