People need to be made aware of the realities of sex trafficking in the UK.
I feel it’s a subject that’s under-reported, and in many cases, misunderstood.
By raising awareness of the issue, I hope to help take steps to prevent it.
With Fixers, I want to get people talking about the topic by confronting them with a few harsh truths.
I’m planning a live exhibition event that I want to stage in a shop window, showing women displayed as if they were products for sale.
I hope this will help drive home a stark message.
*NOTE: Fixers sometimes go beyond the 16-25 year age bracket while working on their Fix.
Faye Piner and Dan Dash are helping me with this Fix.
December 2014 With Fixers, I’ve been planning a live exhibition event that I’d like to stage in a shop window. The idea is to present women as items for sale to highlight the shocking reality of sex trafficking. You can see the design for the shop front and a series of posters produced to explain my campaign below.
We’re trying to find a suitable location for the exhibition in Falmouth. Anyone that can help provide an appropriate space is asked to contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
