I took up cheerleading a year ago and it has changed my life.
However, one thing which really annoys me is the way people negatively stereotype those who take part in this sport.
They assume that it’s just girls with skirts and pompoms, but there's more to it than that.
Since taking up cheerleading, I feel like I’ve completely transformed my life, physically and mentally, which was not something I could ever have imagined.
My team and I are therefore working with Fixers to try to combat common misconceptions of cheerleading and help the public understand that it’s a serious sport that requires a lot of dedication.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with this Fix:
Niall McKenna, Queen’s Student’s Union Student’s Officer, supported our Fix by providing an interview for our television item.
Me and my friends want young people to know that calories aren't the enemy!
