Campaign: | To show how having a parent in prison can impact children’s lives |
We feel that parents in prison often don't realise how their sentence is impacting their family on the outside.
Having a mother, father or close relative behind bars can make you feel incredibly isolated and like nobody is there for you.
We want others to understand that going through this as a young person can be very difficult and scary.
That's why we've made a short film with the help of Fixers, showing what it can be like for young people whose parents are serving a prison sentence.
Hopefully, it can help those in similar circumstances understand that they are not alone and allow incarcerated parents to see the situation from their children's perspective.
