I was diagnosed with fibromylgia and joint hypermobility syndrome when I was 19.
The disorders can cause me severe pains in my muscles and bones, and I often need crutches to get around.
My life has changed so much, but it’s made even more difficult when people judge you for having a disability.
I can’t do the things I used to, but being treated like I’m in some way different really upsets me.
My team and I are campaigning to end the stigma associated with people who have disabilities.
We’re showing that appearances don’t automatically determine who you are as a person and want to encourage others to see everyone as an individual.
Here is a list of Fixers helping me with my Fix:
The Junction Foundation
The foundation supported our Fix by putting us in touch with Fixers. They have also provided facilities for meetings to discuss ideas.
Thank you to Liam Evans for appearing on my Fixers poster as a model.
January 2015 There has been press interest in my Fix with articles about my campaign appearing in The Herald and Post and The Gazette Live.
