A group of young people from West Yorkshire is asking primary school pupils to think carefully about how they get rid of plastic waste. “We need to raise awareness,” says project leader Nancy Tupling from Mytholmroyd, near Halifax. “People think that throwing away one plastic bottle isn’t a problem. But if a billion people think like that, it’s just going to build up and up." Nancy and her friends have created this animation to get their message across.

A student who has struggled with her mental health is encouraging others to look out for vulnerable people on campus. 21 year old Ciaran French who’s from Belfast and currently studying script-writing at Bournemouth University, has suffered from anxiety and depression since she was twelve and last year, was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Ciaran has helped create this film to share her message.
: “Ever since I had depression and anxiety in year 7, I only ever remember thinking I was ‘fat’ when in reality I didn’t even know what ‘fat’ was. I didn’t realise that ‘fat’ and ‘calories’ were something needed, and something to help your body have energy. We want young children to think differently about what calories really are and understand that everybody is different, therefore every person will consume different amounts of food – and that’s okay.” Mahveen and her friends have helped create this film to get their message across.

“I look after my 16 year old sister. She had previously experienced bullying at school and struggled with her mental health. When my father passed away, I took on many more responsibilities that someone much older would typically have to do.” 20 year old Archie Mohan wants people to better understand what it’s like being a young carer and he's created this video to get his message across.
“There was a time when I felt full of self-doubt. I had a lot of negative emotions and not a lot of happiness in my life. I wasn’t feeling good about myself. I didn’t have a lot of self-confidence. I felt worthless….” Now 17 year old Katie Woods wants to promote self-belief in other young people. She's helped create this film to share her message.

A group of teenagers from a notorious estate are calling on Glaswegians to see them for who they really are. They want to show people it doesn’t matter where you come from, young people are contributing positively in the community. Kieran O'Shea has created this film to share their message.
