Less than 2% of the world’s refugees live in the UK, and those that do arrive here don’t always get a warm welcome.
They are often perceived negatively, with myths suggesting they commit crime, steal jobs and abuse the benefits system.
These beliefs need to be challenged and more people need to understand the realities of refugees' lives.

We hope that by working to change attitudes, we can help refugees settle into their new surroundings.

Here is some feedback we've received on our Fixers film from Fast Foward Scottish Peer Education Network (SPEN):
'Great video guys! I've shared this with the Scottish Refugee Council, who are starting a peer education programme to help refugees and asylum seekers to educate one another about accessing health services.'
