I am in a flute band in Northern Ireland and feel as though there is a negative stereotype attached to them.

 

I want to show how you can be part of a band just for the enjoyment of playing music, rather than for political or religious reasons.

 

Young people who might consider playing the flute for a band need a positive example of why it is an enjoyable pastime without involving the negatives which are so often highlighted.

 

I hope that my Fix will inspire flute players of the future to play music because they love it.
