My Fixers project is about encouraging young people to be creative with technology.

 

Lots of young people think of computing as a relatively nerdy subject for a small amount of people. It's not seen in the way art is, for example, which is encouraged and admired, even though it's just as creative.

 

I think it's important to get young people comfortable with the idea of coding and programming, as they are really valuable skills to learn.

 

It's vital to get them engaged in technology because it could really benefit them and others.

I would like to thank Stephanie Baxter from the Institution of Engineering and Technology for appearing in my ITV News broadcast.
