Campaign: | To tackle hate crime against people with learning disabilities |
I want to tackle hate crime against people with learning disabilities. It's a big issue in today's society and it affects us very badly.
I have learning disabilities and I experienced hate crime after falling out with a group of friends - they would use my phone number or email address to order takeaways without my permission, and once I ended up with the police and ambulance services at my door after they reported an alleged disturbance.
I've made a poster with Fixers to send a message that hate crime against people with learning disabilities is wrong.
I would like to share the posters with day centres, public transport, libraries, police stations, hospitals, shopping centres, supermarkets, schools, colleges, on social media and in health centres.
