Campaign: | To show people with anorexia that recovery is possible |
I was diagnosed with anorexia when I was 15. I made myself so ill that two years later I found myself sitting in a room with my family being told by doctors that I had just two weeks to live if I didn’t get help.
The road to recovery has been incredibly tough and I suffered two relapses, but I made it thanks to a huge amount of support from my loved ones, and getting specialist treatment.
By sharing my personal experiences of anorexia in my Fixers booklet, I hope I can show other people struggling with the illness that if I can get better, anyone can.
I’m in a really good place now. I work as a professional make-up artist and get to travel abroad a lot and work with some big names.
For a long time, I never imagined life could be like this. After going through such a dark time myself, it’s made me determined to help people with anorexia see that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
