Campaign: | To warn others about the dangers of recreational drug taking |
When I was 15 I realised I was gay. At the time, I felt robbed. I felt like I would never have a family and kids or a normal life.
Back then I was too young to understand that being gay didn’t mean the end of the world. I was confused and struggled to make sense of my feelings.
I started experimenting with drugs when I was 16 and I soon found that I could use them as a form of escapism.
My habit spiralled out of control and I became addicted to substances like cocaine, amphetamines and ketamine.
I lost three years of my life to drugs; now I want to share my story to make sure young people are aware of the risks before they begin experimenting.
With Fixers I've made a film to show that it's not just heroin and crack that can ruin your life; recreational drugs are dangerous too.
I would like to thank Laura Philipson from Laura Rose Makeup for being the make-up artist for my film.
